Teacher Nightmare

It seems each category of people who have a high-stress occupation has a classic nightmare. College students dream that they are at the end of a semester and just realize that there’s a class they forgot to go to for months. When I was a waitress, I frequently dreamt that I was completely overwhelmed with tables to wait and would become almost paralyzed from the stress.

Last night I had a “new teacher” dream. I’ve had one similar to it before. In my dream last night, I arrived at my middle school art class to find that the previous teacher had taken over. She was in charge, running my project the way she wanted to. I was a helpless witness, casually disregarded by my students. I was very sad.
